Taking an order (on the phone with a shop)
- Go to Home and press the big New order button.
- Pick the shop's name from the list, and check the date is right.
- Type the amount the shop wants next to each item. Leave anything they don't want blank or as 0.
- If they're getting a discount, type the percentage in the discount box near the bottom. The total works itself out.
- Press Save order. That's it, the order is stored.
- If the shop wants a paper copy, open the order again and press Print invoice.
Changing an order
- Go to Orders, find the shop and date, and press it to open.
- Change the amounts, then press Save order again.
The baking sheet (for the bakery screen)
- Go to Baking. It totals up everything every shop ordered that week.
- Tuesday tab: shows the full amount needed and a box for how much got baked on Monday. It works out what's still needed for Tuesday.
- Wednesday tab: shows the full amount needed, Monday's amount, and a box for how much got baked Tuesday. It works out what's left to bake Wednesday.
- Press Print to get a paper copy for the bakery.
The bakery screen
The screen in the bakery updates itself automatically when an order goes in here, there's no need to tell anyone or refresh anything. Both screens need an internet connection to stay in sync, the small text near the top right of the header shows "Connected" when it's working. The bakery screen has its own code (1996), different from this page's.
Handy shortcuts
When taking an order, press Same as last week to copy that shop's previous order into the form, then just change what's different. The Shop note box remembers things like "leave at back door" and shows them every time that shop comes up. On the Deliveries page, Run sheet for the driver prints a one-page checklist of every drop on that run.
If something looks wrong
Nothing is deleted when you make changes, orders are always saved. If in doubt, open Products and press Download backup to save a copy of everything, just in case.
